Apsley Paper Trail, the charity that maintains and operates Frogmore Mill, receives no regular support from national government, local government or other funding bodies. In the main, the trust’s capital projects are supported by one-off grants. However, the finance to support the charity’s Conservation work, Educational service provision, Community facilities, Archives and Museum, to maintain and repair the buildings and to open the Mill to the public is entirely self-generated.
The Trustees, Staff and Volunteers who keep this unique industrial heritage site a working concern for the benefit of the public, do so because they believe that it is important to maintain these links with a past that helped shape the world we live in and to make facilities like these a positive contribution to the communities and society they serve.
The development of the Apsley Paper Trail was greatly helped by sponsorship support from Royal Mail and Robert Horne Paper Merchants and in more recent years its Educational programme for school’s has been sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Stationers and News Paper Makers.
